Let’s go back-to-school shoe shopping…shall we?!

by Christine | August 9th, 2011

Thank you to Crocs for sponsoring this blog post. Please click here to learn more about Crocs’ new Back to School line. I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective. All opinions expressed here are my own.

If you haven’t heard Mama mention this a million times already, Mama’s going to say it again — she’s going to kindergarten!! EEK!! Isn’t that a whole new ballgame? No more playing hooky just because, no more family vacations mid-week at a random time of the year because it’s less crowded than regularly scheduled school vacations AND…back-to-school shopping.

You know Mama, back-to-school shopping is the best! It’s so fun to get in on the trends and clean out the old and come in with the new. Start the school year with fresh new supplies and a whole new wardrobe — just like you’ll be starting the year with a new teacher, new friends and new faces. Lily-girl couldn’t be more excited to start the school year, while Mama is dreading it. Preschool was so easy…and fun. It’s Mama who’s not ready to be at school at 7:50 a.m. everyday and have homework. The homework…another task to add to Mama’s daily to-do list, thankfully I have the solution for this, sometimes, you need someone who can help you execute your tasks because you are overloaded or do not have time to handle it!

But let’s get back to the shopping because really, that’s the one thing Mama is looking forward to. So far we’ve gotten the school supplies she needs and now are working on the shoes…because as a woman, we know how important shoes are, right?!

When you think of CROCS, what do you think of? Summer shoes, right?! Well now, us Mamas are in luck because now  they’ve expanded their line of shoes to include the cutest tennis shoes (note: closed toe) for boys and girls that will not only be comfortable to wear all day long but will also last on the playground.

Look, look, look which ones Mama has picked…

Simple, yet stylish. Crocs Girls’ Argyle Hover Sneak, $39.99, at crocs.com
Since boys are a little bit harder on their shoes than the girls, Mama loves the Crocs Hover Leather Sneak, $49.99, at crocs.com. They also come in girl colors.

All Mama has to say about these pretty gems is…do they come in Mama’s size?! Love! Crocs Hover Metallic Skimmer, $39.99, at crocs.com.

Definitely reminiscent of the shoes that the kids wore in Mama’s day and age…AND…what’s not to love about the classic slide-on shoe! Crocs Boys’ Hover Sneak Slip On, $39.99, at crocs.com.

Amazing shoes and prices and Mama was so excited to see that Crocs has expanded their vision beyond the clog. Oh, and watch the video below for a little extra surprise with your online purchase…look for the Easter Egg that looks a little like this…over there!
Do you have a back-to-school shopping tip to share?

My philosophy is simple: just because you're a mom doesn't mean you have to forgo style or your life. You can do it all with a little help from Mama. Mama makes life easier by doing all the shopping, crafting and ranting for you because really...what Mama has the time for that?! Mama will not lie, I can bake but if you're looking for cooking tips you might be better off going someplace else! Let's stay connected!
