Hearts aren’t meant to celebrate just Valentine’s Day in February, it’s also National Heart Health month! Take a few minutes to read up on how you can take steps in preventing heart disease which is the NUMBER ONE killer of women 20 and older! To kick-off the month, Go Red for Women has organized National Wear Red Day tomorrow on Friday, Feb. 5th to raise awareness of the campaign.
Steps to preventing heart disease include: being active (walking, jogging, dancing); don’t smoke; eat a healthy diet of whole grains, fresh fruits and veggies; and reduce stress by participating in a hobby or sport that you enjoy.
Protect your number one asset, your heart and don’t forget to wear red tomorrow (the kids and dad too)!!
