   Good afternoon Mama!

   I am writing about a great family-oriented event happening this fall. October 5, 2011 marks the International Walk and Bike to School Day. This year, iCommute and Z90 will be hosting the Walk, Ride and Roll to School Campaign in San Diego. It is a great event for children and families to use alternative modes of transportation- all while earning prizes (including a chance to win one school up to $1,000!), learning safety tips and raising awareness of the health benefits that come with walking or biking to school.    Hello!

   Parenting OC magazine is hosting it’s 7th Annual 5th Grade Spelling Bee. It will be held at Fairmont Private School in Anaheim Hills on April 19th, at 7:00 p.m. This is open to 3rd-5th graders.

   Students will have an opportunity to compete for a trophy, a weekend getaway for your family, including four tickets to the San Diego Zoo, and a week of summer camp at Camp James!

   Advanced registration is required and must be submitted no later than Monday, April 8, 2013. There is a $25 entry fee for each registered student. The application can be found at:
