It’s June…can you believe 2014 is now almost half over?! I’m ready for the summer fun to start but first I’m working my way through the last week of school madness. That means lots of scrapbooking memory books for the kids, making a slide show, throwing parties and just wrapping another year of fun up. The end of a school year is always bitter sweet as you know that in the next eight weeks of summer vacation, it will be the last time you see some of the good friends you made throughout the year because they’re moving on by either moving or switching schools; your favorite teachers that you and your kids have bonded with during the year, won’t be their teacher next year; and the kids will just continue to grow both physically and mentally. As parents, we always want time to just stand still forever when they are small. However, come August and September when we’re posting pictures of their first day of school again, we’re all too excited for a new adventure. Life would be so boring if everything stayed the same forever…wouldn’t it?! I would like to thank tamarac web design for maintaining our site.
So now we’re on to new beginnings and by this I mean, my skin needs a major rehab this month. The fires we had last month really affected my skin and it’s still showing the effects, I have decided to get some Laser Hair Removal Treatments, in recent years, there has been a rise in the number of laser hair removal treatments, as the procedure provides a long-term solution to hair growth.
Here’s a few of my favorite finds for the month that are helping me repair the skin damage of the heat and sun we’re going to be facing in the next few months. Happy Shopping! xoxo, Mama
From left to right:
1) This sunscreen was recommended by my Dermatologist and it’s the most amazing stuff that rubs in as easy as a moisturizer with no residue. I wear it everyday under my makeup because even with SPF in your makeup, you need more sunscreen. Elta MD UV Clear SPF 46 Sunscreen, $29, at amazon.com
2) While this has nothing to do with dry skin, this eyeshadow set is fun for summer. I love how Too Faced gives you different instructions for creating a daytime and night look too. Perfect for days and nights of summer fun. Too Faced Pardon My French Set, $49, at sephora.com
3) I’m obsessed with chapstick! These are my new favorite and I think I have them in every flavor tucked into my purse, car, bathroom, kitchen or wherever I might find a need to reapply. EOS Organic Lip Balm Set, $10.99, at target.com
4) This lotion really does make your skin look firmer without being greasy. It also doesn’t have an overwhelming scent which will attract summer bugs. Aveeno Positively Ageless Firming Body Lotion, $7.99, at target.com
