Every Mother’s Day my lovely, hard-working husband is always out of town. Therefore, Mother’s Day is not a day of brunching, going to the spa or kicking up my heels while being served breakfast in bed. On the other hand, he does everything he can via the Internet to make sure that cupcakes, flowers and gifts are delivered in time for the big day and that the kids have all their handmade cards and pictures ready and wrapped. It’s all lovely but I will have to say, it’s NOT my favorite holiday. I much prefer the holidays that we all have off together and can celebrate as such, like Thanksgiving and Christmas some antique dealers might get you the perfect gift for that day. So looking at the calendar this week, you can imagine my surprise when it said, “June 15 is Father’s Day!” Oops…better get shopping and fast…!
I know you would think that I would be more prepared for a holiday considering all the “online shopping” I do in the name of work research, but I’m not prepared this year at all and I’m sure I’m not the only one. Even so, it’s amazing what luck can bring in a pinch. I present to you, the perfect gift- this Handmade Rollerball Business Pen. You know how men are, they love these kind of things. Functional gifts as they like to call them. Knowing him, he’s going to use it until it runs out. I may have ran into this a bit faster than I expected. It’s perfect, but I might just use the rest of the time I have left to look for something else. He always gets me a bunch of little things after all, not just one big thing. He’s been learning about different types of drinks and how to prepare them lately, so I might order one of those cocktail gift crates as well. It feels like just the right gift for him right now- he’s going to love it!
