Just yesterday Mama was bombarded with not one, not two but five Halloween catalogs in the mail. Seriously…it’s only mid-August and Lily-girl has one more week until school starts. Then Mama went over to the local Homegoods store to only to run smack into Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations before even stepping foot into the store. Same thing at Target, already sizes are sold out of Halloween shirts and decor.
Every year it gets earlier and earlier and before Halloween is even here, mid-October is filled with sounds of holiday music and Santa Claus. Mama hates being rushed into and then through holidays because the thrill seems to get lost somewhere between decorating and celebrating. However one thing Mama hates more than being rushed is being left behind. So being the savvy shopper that Mama is, Halloween has already entered our house and sadly, should be entering yours as well.
Consider these finds a prequel of fun fall and Halloween spooky finds to come. Mama prefers the whimsical side of Halloween…so if you like to be spooked, you’re definitely not in the right place!

My philosophy is simple: just because you're a mom doesn't mean you have to forgo style or your life. You can do it all with a little help from Mama. Mama makes life easier by doing all the shopping, crafting and ranting for you because really...what Mama has the time for that?! Mama will not lie, I can bake but if you're looking for cooking tips you might be better off going someplace else!

Get this: we went to Costco yesterday and actually bought the boys their costumes b/c they were the right price AND there were very few left. Now wait for it….They already had Christmas stuff out. Yes you read that correctly CHRISTMAS stuff in August. I was annoyed by this.
Seriously, Costco had toys out and wreaths for Christmas?! Yikes, I definitely can't go there yet!
