Summer beauty **Giveaway**

by Christine | June 21st, 2010

Welcome summer! Yes, today is the first official day of the sunny season. We have hours of fun in the sun before us but are you ready for it? Mama sure isn’t! So today, Mama is putting together her summer beauty list thanks to Team True Beauty so by the end of the week, I’ll be buffed, shined and smelling good to hit the sand or wherever the summer days may take Mama and even take care of her hair with the Mielle best edge control.

No-chip pedi — It’s TRUE! What you’ve been waiting for all your life you can finally get. Since sand, saltwater and pools can peel and chip nail polish the minute you dip your toe in, you’ll love this pedicure that lasts for four to six weeks. Using a method called Bio Sculpture from South Africa, a self-leveling gel color is painted onto the toe then dried using a special light. The result is a pretty, pretty pedicure that resist chips and peeling. You can get a variety of colors and even a French pedicure. It’s fantastic for summer! Currently there is a deal going on in San Diego with BuyWithMe.com where you can get the pedicure that will last you half of summer for $30 (that’s half price!) at City Style Hair in Solana Beach. Don’t wait to buy, you have three more days to get the deal at that price but you can use it anytime before December. Oh, and keep reading and be entered to win one courtesy of BuyWithMe.com and Mama.

Rub-a-SCRUB-dub — Mama’s not sure about you but for some reason the sun makes my sensitive skin bump up with dead skin faster than during the winter months. In order to avoid build-up, Mama loves to exfoliate arms, legs and feet every morning (also making for a nice clean surface for all the SPF to soak into) with a nice body scrub. Mama is loving the Enrich Body Scrub from Aromatherapy Associates. It is packed with Sea Salt, Grapefruit oil and Coffee Arabica (fair trade) — smells and feels delicious! Available at NuboNau.com, $53.

Josie Maran Protect Daily Sun Protection Argan Oil Infused SPF 40+ 2 ozSPF it (the eco way) — oh Mamas, if there is one product to get this summer — this is it. Made without all the nasty stuff (Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic dyes and fragrances, Petrochemicals, Phthalates and GMOS) the Josie Maran Protect Daily Sun Protection Argan Oil infused SPF 40 will protect you from the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays while also providing anti-aging protection. Fabulous product! Available at Amazon.com, $32.

Save the hair — protect your locks from going limp from sun damage with a sun shield spray that has UV fillers. Mama is using Ouidad Sun Shield Sun & Sport Leave-in Spray (no nasty stuff in this one either!) and it is fabulous. Just spritz and pull back with a headband or into a low messy bun for an easy, summer style. Available at Sephora.com, $20.

Last but not least, steam clean your pores the old-fashioned way. Boil a pot of water, then when it’s cooled a minute but still steamy, put your face over the pot and cover with a dry towel. Stay there for about five minutes. Feel how clean your pores are! Don’t forget to moisturize right after.

**GIVEAWAY**

One lucky Everyday Mama reader will win a gift certificate ($65 value) for a Bio Sculpt Pedicure at City Style Hair in Solana Beach, CA. I saw a lot of website but I think this one holds something special in it. “Never try to tell everything you know. It may take too short a time.” by Norman Ford.

This is exceptional. I’m so pleased that you decided to cover this subject given that I needed this info now. Several times there appears to be these kinds of write-ups that are not good, however you reached the nail right on the head. This is deeper than exactly what I believed it would certainly. Excellent job and also well done.

Posted on December 17, 2012 at 8:27 amI do agree with all the ideas you’ve presented in your post. They are very convincing and will definitely work. Still, the posts are too short for beginners. Could you please extend them a little from next time? Thanks for the post.

My philosophy is simple: just because you're a mom doesn't mean you have to forgo style or your life. You can do it all with a little help from Mama. Mama makes life easier by doing all the shopping, crafting and ranting for you because really...what Mama has the time for that?! Mama will not lie, I can bake but if you're looking for cooking tips you might be better off going someplace else! Let's stay connected!
