You’ve seen the ads, the celebrities with milk mustaches and their cute little babies…all proudly touting that they’ve “got milk?” Sure Mama has milk (no pun intended!)! But it’s more than just vital nutrition for growing babies and kids. Mamas sometimes forget that they need to drink their daily dose of milk too to avoid the on-set of bone disease. Especially pregnant and nursing mamas!! The California Milk Processor Board, recommends three glasses a day. That is a lot of milk to drink but there are tons of creative, yummy ways to incorporate more milk (= more calcium = strong bones) into your daily diet that even Mamas will appreciate.
- Always buy fresh non-ground coffee beans. Once the bean is ground, it loses it’s freshness and flavor. Grind your beans and use right away.
- Despite popular belief, don’t keep your coffee beans in the freezer. She compared it to meat. You wouldn’t take out chicken, defrost it then put it back in — would you??? So why would you do that with your helpless little coffee beans! Seriously, the flavor is sucked out each time you do it.
- Use your bag of opened coffee beans within one week or sacrifice the freshness of the beans.
- Enjoy making your coffee! It should be a fun, creative experience and don’t be afraid to experiment and make your own delicious latte flavors.
