Groceries Go PINK!


For those of you that were looking for Mama Monday yesterday, I apologize, it’s going to be today (Tuesday) because of Mama’s monthly FOX5 San Diego TV spot. If you haven’t checked out the segment from yesterday, you should!! Now back to Mama Monday’s…and we’re still talking PINK this week!

Since every where you turn you see a PINK ribbon supporting Breast Cancer organizations in October, why not support a good cause and get your groceries at the same time?! Although it may not be from your loyal, trusted brand — branch out this week when you go grocery shopping and buy a product with a pink ribbon and feel good about it!
  • Toilet Paper — yes, even toilet paper is going PINK! Pick up the limited edition PINK pack of Quilted Northern Soft & Strong and know you’re supporting the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. They have pledged $100,000 to the cause this year. Available at major grocery stores, Target and Wal-Mart.
  • Chips and SALSA anyone?Mrs. Renfro’s Gourmet Salsa is supporting breast cancer research with pink lids this month. With flavors like Raspberry Chipolte, Peach, and Mango Habanero, you’re sure to find one that tingles your taste buds (not to mention that they use all natural ingredients and it’s fat and gluten free)!   • Toss Mushrooms into your dinner – the Mushroom Council has outfitted mushrooms in PINK containers this month in support of the cause! The council is donating proceeds from the PINK mushroom sales in addition to $50,000 to the City of Hope breast cancer research fund.     Cute! I am going to go pick up the Pink Toilet paper for the girl’s bathroom very cute! My husband loves quesadillas with grilled mushrooms or thrown on some eggs, salads!
